Ervin Babbert

Ervin “E.C.” Babbert age 82 of Canal Winchester passed away January 1, 2016 at Pickering House. E.C. was born May 18, 1933 in Columbus to the late Carl and Marie Babbert. He was Co-Founder of E.C. Babbert Inc. He was past president of The National Precast Concrete Association and recipient of The Yoakum Award. He was a member of Ralph R. Rickly Lodge #670 F&AM, Aladdin Shrine, Ft. Myers Beach Shrine AASR Scottish Rite, The Clown Unit, Ambassadors of Aladdin, Tahre Shrine Club, Lancaster and Columbus Royal Order of Jesters Court #8. E.C. was a member of Moose Lodge #955 and FOE Elks Lodge Ft. Myers, Fl.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie, sons Charles (Carolyn) Babbert and Ronald (Deena) Babbert; grandson Jacob Babbert; brother Melvin (Shirley) Babbert, numerous nieces and nephews. E.C. was preceded in death by his brother Russell Babbert and grandson Logan Berry.
Friends may visit Thursday January 7, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at THE DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME 650 West Waterloo St. Canal Winchester, Ohio. Masonic Service will be held at 8:00 PM following the visitation. Funeral service will be held Friday at 10:30 AM January 8, 2016 at David Lutheran Church 300 Groveport Road Canal Winchester, Ohio. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
