Carl Emerson Shroyer

Carl Emerson Shroyer, born June 26, 1932, in Bellefontaine, Ohio, died April 3rd at Tuscany Gardens in Pataskala, OH. Carl was the son of Carl and Thelma (Weeks) Shroyer.
He served as a medic in the U.S. Army and retired as an industrial engineer from International Harvester. He moved to Ripley, Ohio where he ran Shroyer’s Sportswear for 25 years before retiring at the age of 82.
Carl was active with Junior Achievement and past Grand Knight of the K of C 3737. He was an avid water skier, boater, and skydiving enthusiast. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Springfield and St Michael in Ripley, Ohio.
Carl is preceded in death by spouses, Ann Kenney Shroyer, and Diane Williams Shroyer; his parents; and brother, Bob Shroyer. He is survived by his children, Jackie Rauch (Bill Gillespie), Tony Shroyer, Pat (Cheryl) Shroyer; brother, Leonard (Ann) Shroyer; sisters, Kay (Chuck) Paul and Sally Boetcher; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends and family may visit Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home 550 Hill Rd N, Pickerington, Ohio 43147 on Friday, April 5th, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will take place on Saturday, April 6th, 2024, at 9:30 am at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church 5225 Refugee Road, Columbus, Ohio (Next to Independence High School).
Interment will follow the funeral mass at Holy Cross Cemetery 11539 National Road S.W., Pataskala, Ohio. Flowers welcome or contributions can be made in Carl’s name to St. Michael Catholic Church, 16 N. 4th St., Ripley, OH 45167 (memo- Carl Shroyer) or Seminarian Fund.
