Elaine Howard

Donna “Elaine” Howard, age 83, of Columbus, died Thursday, May 25, 2017 at her residence. She was born August 14, 1933 in Athens, OH to the late Donald and Jessie Bolen.
Elaine worked as a secretary for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 189 for over 20 years. She was a staunch democrat and feminist. Elaine loved time spent at the casino; especially time spent with her friends at Brew Brothers. She enjoyed crosswords, reading, and traveling; specifically her trips to Paris. Elaine loved spending time with her family; she was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her siblings, Lou (Burl) DeBolt, Rheta Colvin, Jim (Donna) Bolen.
Elaine is survived by her loving husband, Robert G. Howard; children, Sandra Jean (Hubert Mazingue) Howard, Kathy Anne (Scott) Ely, Barbara Elaine Hoagland, Cheryl Lynn (Mike) Eckles; grandchildren, Matthew (Karin), Jessica, Alyssa, Kelly, Adrien, Kim (Chris), Andrew, Katie, Grace, Julia, Robert Chance; honorary granddaughter, Katie Bailey; great-grandson, Theodore; siblings, Margery Stanley, Judy (Frank) Hamilton, Donald (Joan) Bolen, Sherry (Bob) Rhoades, Mike (Diane) Bolen; brother-in-law, Ray Colvin; sisters-in-law, Nancy Lennex, Mary Stewart; favorite cat, Walter; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit 1-3:00 pm on Sunday, May 28 at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 550 Hill Rd. N., Pickerington, OH 43147, where a memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm.
