Gary Lee Martin

Gary L. Martin, age 67, of Columbus, Ohio, died Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Mount Carmel West Hospital. He was born on August 30, 1950 in Columbus, to the late Oakley and June Martin.
Gary was a 1969 graduate of Groveport High School. He began his career working with automobiles, starting with his father at Eastway Body Shop; he worked over 30 years in the industry. Gary had a passion for classic cars; including a collection of his own. He was a member of the Anglers Paradise in Sugar Grove. Gary had a heart of gold and made sure to live life his way; he would lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Gary is survived by his siblings, Sondra (Bob) Hardesty, Jerry Martin; nephew, Jeff (Dawn) Coleman; great-nephews, Troy and Travis Coleman; and many extended family from Anglers Paradise.
Family and friends may visit 11-1:00 pm on Thursday, September 21, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, OH 43110 where a funeral service, officiated by Rev. Dr. Jim Burge, will follow at 1:00 pm. Interment Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
