The love and many memories of Harold Bruce Hatfield, born March 13, 1932, will remain with his family and friends as we move into the future without him. Bruce died at home under the loving care of his family on Friday, July 28, 2017. Predeceased by his parents, Theodore and Mildred (nee Rayburn) Hatfield.
Survived by his wife of 62 years, Susan A. (nee Donnelly) Hatfield; daughters, Bridget (Ted) Bauer, Rebecca (John) Bumgartner, Susanne (Donald) Colby, Melissa Hatfield, Leslie (Russ) DeVico; sister, Loretta (John) Wolfe; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
A 1950 graduate of Jackson Twp. High School, Grove City, he served 1952-54 in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Retired in 1985 after 35 years of service from BP (Sohio). Member of Faith United Methodist Church. Bruce was an avid accumulator since retirement, past president Ohio Tool Collectors Association, life member Midwest Tool Collectors Association, EAIA, and CRAFTS.
Friends may visit 4-7 pm Monday, July 31, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester. Private graveside service will be at Muhlenberg Township Cemetery in Darbyville.
The family would like to thank FairHoPe Hospice for their care and support.
