Beth, Mike, Jenna and Nikki,
I never met a more understanding, caring, loving and close family that has had to face the adversity of a disease such as this that has inflicted its devastation on a family member as awesome as Heather was.
I barely know the angst, frustration, hurt, love, or life acceptance that your family has felt and/or lived with all these years. What I do know is the caring, love, friendship and the example that you have shown us all in how to accept God's will and say "thy will be done". You have always made lemonade with lemons.
I know Heather was proud to have the parents and sisters that she had. She was truly an inspiration to us all. I can only imagine the sorrow that this brings you this is an inconceivable experience and one I'm not sure I could handle.
I'm sure that you will handle this with the grace and dignity that you have handled adversity her whole life but remember that it's ok not to be strong and not to have to lead by example.
I love you all! We all love you all! Feel free to lean on us as you work through this grief and loss, we are here for all of you as you have been for us.
Heather will forever be in my thoughts and memories.
May God bless her and hold her tight as she will be looking over you. May God also bless you and in this time of sorrow ease your pain, heartache, frustration and anger. May he touch you with the warmth of his love that only he can do!
Love you all!

I remember hugging Heather when she was a toddler, valiantly fighting her serious GI disease . I watched her grow into a beautiful young lady with an amazingly positive attitude , bravely coping with numerous surgeries and procedures. She beat the odds and lived longer than most people with her illness do, but she still passed away too soon. The love and support of her family, which I witnessed over the years, was incredibly poignant and inspiring. Rest in peace, Heather: your warm memory will linger in our heart and soul forever.
