We have known Jim and Anita for many years. We consider them to be our very good friends.
I met Jim at Ralph R. Rickly Lodge. We were officers together. One memory that stands out to me is one particular evening. One of our duties was to provide refreshments and food after the meetings. Jim and I were in the kitchen that evening, and we were making grilled-cheese sandwiches. Somehow, we ended up burning the sandwiches, and didn't know what to do. In true Jim fashion, he told me to pick up a table knife and to start scraping. The master of the lodge walked into the kitchen. He said, "What are you guys doing?" I answered, "Making grilled-cheese." He shook his head and walked out of the kitchen. The other members had some fine sandwiches that evening.
As everyone knows, Jim was a committed Buckeye fan. He was the one who actually got me interested in watching the games. We watched many OSU games together. I was hoping to be able to watch a few more with him.
We had many great memories together over the years.
Jim and I even had the same family doctor for years. Every time I would see Dr. Soldano, he would always ask about Jim. I would always tell him about the last time that I had spoken to or saw Jim. Dr. Soldano would always tell me that I was a great friend to Jim. I hope that I lived up to what Dr. Soldano said.
Jim will be greatly missed.
Anita and Liz: we are very sorry for your loss.

Anita & Elizabeth: I am so sorry to read about Jim. What an awesome man. Always had a smile on his face when he would come to Eastminister Church. My Mother Priscilla always got a kick out of teasing Jim. Elizabeth, your Dad was so proud of you. Remember all the good times together. Prayers going out to the family.
