Like John Gardner my memories of Jim are from Elementary School and High School in Canal Winchester. When I heard of Jim's passing I immediately thought of basketball and our senior season when no one thought the Indians would win much that year, but we ended up 17-4 and losing by 1 point to the state runner up in the tournament. Jim was the heart of that team, anchoring us as a great center and leader. I also thought of the best sideburns in the school and a great big smile. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the tribute video included here. What I saw in every picture was a tremendous amount of Joy, Love, Pride, and Caring. Rest in peace Jim. Ralph Steen

To Miss Betty, Jodi, and all of the Klamfoth family,
Very saddened to hear of Jim's passing. Some of the best times that I ever had were with Jim ,Don and Molly. We would always have those conversations were Don said he wasn't going to do it,Jim said he wasn't going to do it and they would both look at me. So I would end up doing a job nobody else wanted to do with a dog watching over me. Loved every minute of it.

To James, Joseph, Betty Jodi & the rest of the family- Was shocked to hear about Jimm'ys passing. He was a good man, father & friend. He use to farm our farm in Lithopolis along with Don. There were many times we would help round the sheep us & get them back in the fence. He was a character. We knew him for over 40 yrs. He will be missed. You will always have your memories & he will be in your hearts. You all are in our thoughts & prayers.

Like so many, quite saddened by the news of Jim's death. Lots of memories: Jim was an anchor on one of the more accomplished basketball teams to come out of CWHS, esp. the '71-'72 season. Visits to the Ohio State Fair always included a mandatory stop at the Sheep Barn for good conversation. Sincere condolences to the family., along with a prayer that Jim might R.I.P.
