Jane (Hanson) Van Hoose, 85, of Columbus, died on Monday, September 25, 2017 at Grant Hospital in Columbus.
Born on May 3, 1932 to the late Paul and Ruth White, Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Van Hoose; and her son, Barry (Tina) Van Hoose.
She is survived by her children, Susan (Al Higgins) Hanson, Diana (Gary) Vara, Mike Hanson, and Lisa (Andy) Highberger; grandchildren, Ryan (Danielle) Van Hoose, Matthew (Tami) Van Hoose, Vincent Mustacchio, Sarah (Jake) Tennant, Cameron Troilo, Connor Troilo, Christopher Hanson, Morgan Hanson, and Matt Vara; numerous great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Jane was a 1950 graduate of South High School in Columbus. She grew up as a member of Thurman Avenue United Methodist Church and was a longtime member of Brice United Methodist Church. Jane was a member of the American Legion Post #283 Ladies Auxiliary group and a supporter of the Alpha Athletic Club. She enjoyed travelling, spending her summers in Canada and winters in Florida. Jane was also a huge fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes.
Friends may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, September 29th at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Rd. N., Pickerington, OH 43147.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 30th at Brice United Methodist Church, 3160 Brice Rd., Brice, OH 43109.
Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery.
