John Fleischer

John Fleischer, age 89, of Pickerington, died August 12, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 7, 1928 in Botsch, Romania to the late John and Katharina Fleischer. He was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church, the Saxon Club and Pickerington Senior Citizens Center.

Preceded in death by his brothers, George Fleischer and Stefan Fleischer; John is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Hedy; sons John (Nancy) Fleischer and Herbert (Sue) Fleischer; grandchildren, Debbie, Troy, Jonathan (Michelle), Amanda (Burnis); 5 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Maria (Peter) Schumacher, of Germany; brother, Michael (Marlis) Fleischer, of Germany; sisters-in-law, Maria Fleischer, of Westerville, Ohio and Crystel Fleischer, of Germany; neighbors, Roger (Shirley) Yoakam and Ray (Joyce) Sisk; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Friends may visit 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Road North, Pickerington, Ohio 43147. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 268 Hill Rd North, Pickerington, Ohio 43147 with Pastor Brad Gee officiating.
