Larry Nicholas Brigner, 70, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017, at Mt. Carmel West Hospital due to complications from brain cancer. His devoted wife and daughter were by his side.
Larry was born December 15, 1946, to the late George and Sarah (Coey) Brigner. He was a graduate of Hamilton Township High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Larry spent most of his career working for AT&T, and he ultimately retired from Lucent Technologies.
Larry leaves his loving wife of 29 years, Marilyn (Ford) Brigner, whom he married November 23, 1988; daughter, Amanda (James) Lewis, and granddaughter, Jayla Lewis of Columbus; son, Richard Brigner of Columbus; daughter, Melissa Jodi Weber, and her daughters, of Lancaster, Ohio; sister, Jerry (Larry) Fontenot of Conway, S.C.; brother, William (Norma) Brigner of Hilliard, Ohio; brother, Dale (Gina) of Lancaster, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Larry was predeceased by brothers Joe, George and Glen, and sisters Nellie, Mary, Florence and Bertha.
The family will receive visitors at DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, on Friday, December 15 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. with graveside service at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens in Canal Winchester after.
