Lawrence Edward Kaliski

Lawrence “Ski or Larry” Kaliski, age 66, born in Blue Island, IL in 1950 to the late Edward and Anne Kaliski. Larry lost his short battle with cancer and passed away October 2, 2017, peacefully at home with his family close by his side. He is Vietnam veteran and US Air Force retiree. After his military career he worked and retired from Buckeye Power Sales. Larry was a fabulous husband and best friend to his wife Bonnie, great dad to Alexander and Jennifer, and the best grandpa to Daniel. He was one of a kind and one of the most wonderful individuals you’d ever meet. Master Chef Larry loved to create and cook for everyone. He also enjoyed traveling and working in his garage shop on all types of power equipment. He enjoyed watching his Chicago Cubs and Bears, and was ecstatic when the Cubs won the World Series last year.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Bonnie of 43 years; his children, Alexander and Jennifer; grandson, Daniel; sister, Cindy (Paul) Erlandson; close family members and special friends. Thanks to his dear friends, Gretchen, Diane, Dan and Madison, Greg and Lori for being there for him. Thanks to Mt. Carmel E. Hospice. In lieu of flowers, consider a charitable gift to your favorite charity or to lung cancer research in Larry’s name. I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. Family and friends may visit 11-1:00pm and 3-5:00pm on Sunday, October 8, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St. Canal Winchester, OH 43110 with a funeral service to follow at 5:00pm.
