Karen and kids - I was devastated when I heard of Mike's passing. I am so sorry that circumstances led me to not see you all for so long. Jim and I have such wonderful memories of all the times we spent with you and will hold those memories close to our hearts. I love you all and never stopped thinking of you. God bless you, Cindy Bruce

My heart is heavy as I send condolences to Mike's family and friends. He was such a great guy and everyone was blessed by knowing him. His passing will leave a hole in the fabric of the Pickerington community. I will be watching my grandsons allowing my daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Andrew Ward, to attend Mike's celebration of life on Sunday, but I will be there in spirit. God Bless You.

I'm sorry that I cannot attend the Sewellabration. There will be many people there that I would like to see and share "Sewellisms" with! I have enjoyed his respect and support for my efforts for 30 years and enjoyed all the many students Mike nominated for the All-Star Brass Bands... we have had a blast together! So much accomplished. Thank you again, Mike. Save me a seat in the euphonium section!

We were so stunned and saddened to learn of Mike's passing. We recall with fondness the years you guys lived in New Lex. and were at Crooksville. The many trips Mike and I made to White Castle and Chi Chi's are still so much fun to recall. Also, the Myrtle Beach trip as well as the many nights at each other's homes just talking and having fun were times we will always cherish. Although we had gone our separate ways, we will always count your friendship as so very important in our lives. Please know we share in your sorrow and we ask God to bless you at this time of loss.

Karen and family,
I can't begin to put into words my thoughts and feelings. Mike was a special friend and my heart is heavy that I can no longer hug him and talk to him like I used to. I know he is here with all of you and will always walk with you. Look for him to send you messages from heaven.

It was a privilege and joy to have worked for 35 years with Mike and especially to have called him "friend." I will miss his humor and our occasional butting of heads. He will eternally hold a special page in my memory book and looking forward to reuniting in heaven! Vaya con dios, mi amigo!ππ
