Richard L. Burns

Richard L. Burns, age 59, of Heath, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 2, 2017. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 14, 1958 to Richard Burns and Bonnie Henneman. Rick was a graduate of West High School, Columbus State Community College, and retired from OSHA after 30 successful and dedicated years. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. Rick began his second career as a Safety Consultant with FTS Safety to continue his dedication for the safety of American workers. He was a dedicated member of Eagle Rock Church.

Rick was preceded by his step-father, Paul Henneman and brother-in-law, Dick Kearney. Survivors include his wife, Claudia Burns; children, Kyle (Sarah) Burns and Kaleb (Ellen) Burns; grandchildren, Lucas and Kathryn Burns; mother, Bonnie Henneman; father, Richard (Letha) Burns; brother, Jeff (Susan) Burns; sisters, Pam Brintlinger and Diane Burns; lifelong friend, Patty Heine; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends may visit 2-4:00pm and 6-8:00pm on Wednesday, September 6, at Eagle Rock Church, 6810 Blacklick-Eastern Rd NW, Pickerington, OH 43147. A funeral service will begin at 11:00am on Thursday, September 7, at the church. Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estate. Contributions may be made in his name to Eagle Rock Church.
