Robert “Bob” D. Braden, age 78, of Columbus, died Monday June 5, 2017 at his residence. He was born August 1, 1938 in Kinsman, OH to the late David and Vivian Braden.
Bob served our country for 22 years as a member of the US Air Force. He worked for the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation for 22 years. Bob enjoyed fishing, boating, and watching his cardinals. He loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. Bob treasured time spent with his family; he was proud of his four sons for becoming Eagle Scouts and adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Frances “Diana” Braden; children, Robert David (Mary Ann) Braden Jr., Richard Charles (Christine) Braden, James Edward (Candace) Braden, Donald Mark Braden; grandchildren, Robert (Jennifer) Braden III, Andrew Braden, Victoria (Nick) Priwer, Stephanie (John) Cunningham; great-grandchildren, Alex Snyder, Robert Braden IV, Aurora Braden, Connor Priwer; brothers, Daniel Braden, Ray Lynn Braden.
Family and friends may visit 4-7:00 pm on Thursday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, OH 43110, where a funeral service, officiated by Pastor Cal Holloway, will be held at 10:00 am on Friday. Interment to follow at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
