Scott Stiel

January 18, 1957 ~ June 17, 2017 (age 60) 60 Years Old
Scott Stiel, age 60, of Reynoldsburg, died Saturday June 17, 2017 at his residence. He was born January 18, 1957 in Elmhurst, IL to the late Lavern and Naida Stiel. He is preceded in death by his parents, fur babies, Max Amillion and Cassandra “Sissy” Hope. Scott is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Angie; children, Daniel Robert and Derek Nelson of whom he was very proud; fur babies, Harley Ann, Luci Lu, Malcom McKinnon, Bailey Rose; brother, Greg (Marianne) Stiel; mother-in-law, Hope Bowling (whom he jokingly threatened to throw down the stairs); father-in-law, Dennis Nelson Sr. whom he loved to drink beer with and beat in cribbage; brothers-in-law, Dennis (Debbie) Nelson Jr., Jimmy Symons; sister-in-law, Jody (Kurt) Kuehne; nephews, Jake, Brian (Lacie), Drew; nieces, Sarah Rose and Caroline (Fred); best friends, Karl & Kim Brown. Scott was also a father figure to many young adults that respected and admired him dearly.
He leaves behind many family members and close friends, some as far as across the pond, who will miss his humor, laughter, and fun loving spirit. He especially loved the hillbilly family he married into. We all enjoyed Scott’s sarcastic personality that kept us all in stitches. (“That’s what she said”) He also had a charismatic personality and could get whatever he wanted. In his words “It’s because I smell like cookies.”
Scott worked for 41 years at Blocks Bagels. He was a loyal and dedicated employee who was instrumental in the success of the business. Scott, his wife, and children are part of the Block family. Scott was like a son to Hal Block and a brother to Steve Block.
Scott’s greatest joy in life was making his family happy. He loved to travel, attend concerts, hosting “parties on the patio”, especially bacon parties. He loved music, and enjoyed playing bartender. He loved to play cards and cribbage and he loved Batman. Most of all he loved Angie, taking care of her, and making her happy.
A final quote from Scott Stiel: “Don’t ever forget, Bacon is Nature’s Candy.”
