Wayne Snyder Brengman

Wayne Snyder Brengman, age 86, died at home on February 15, 2018. He was born June 21, 1931 in Muncie, Indiana. Lived in Chicago and Long Island as a child before moving to Lancaster, Ohio where he graduated from high school in 1950. He received a BA of Fine Arts from OSU and served in the U.S. Navy. He was an industrial designer for Rubbermaid and Pretty Products. When he retired in 2010, he was President of F.C. Brengman & Associates in Carroll, Ohio. He was a life time artist belonging to the Central Ohio Watercolor Society, Lancaster Art Guild and Canal Winchester Art Guild. He raced enduro motorcycles and restored a vintage AJS. He also loved to build and fly remote control airplanes. He belonged to the Fairfield Ohio Remote Control Club (FORKS) for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents Esther Snyder Brengman and Fred Brengman and his brother Keith Brengman. He is survived by the love of his life, Margaret Sharlene Hammer Brengman with whom he was married 62 years. He is also survived by his daughter, Jill (John) Brengman Woods; grandchildren, Nevin, Gerrit and Sela; siblings, Larry (Lynn) Brengman, Bruce (Gail) Brengman, Roberta (Tom) Shreyer; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may visit from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, February 19th at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, OH 43110, where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 20th with Stuart Brengman, who was like a son to Wayne, serving as the officiant. Interment at Lithopolis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to Foundation Dinners of Lancaster, Ohio or Friends For Life Animal Haven of Canal Winchester, Ohio.
