Anne Louise Howe

Anne Howe, 84, of Baltimore, OH died on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Mount Carmel East Hospital in Columbus. Born on February 28, 1933, Anne was a 1950 graduate of Dorchester High School in Dorchester, MA. She was a member of the “Dorchester Kids”. Anne proudly served in the Navy and was a member of the American Legion David Johnston Memorial Post #283 in Pickerington. In 2016, she traveled with the first All-Female Honor Flight from Columbus to Washington D.C. Anne worked as a Media Technician for Pickerington Local Schools. She accomplished a lifelong goal when she received her Associate’s Degree in Library Science from Ohio Dominican University in 1997. She is survived by her daughters, Janet LaFond, Janice Prescott, Joyce (Kevin) Huddy, and Julie Stalnaker; grandchildren, Jonathan (Kathy) LaFond, Benjamin (Victoria) Prescott, Kaleigh (Owen) Koeppen, Tori Stalnaker, Tyler (Ashlynn) Stalnaker, and Trent (Jaquelyn) Stalnaker; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Prescott, Hunter Prescott, Jack Koeppen, and Isabell Koeppen; and her nephews, Bruce (Leslie) Myren and Eric (Gina) Myren. Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Lenard; father, A. Martin Myren; mother, Elsa Marie Danielson Myren Johnson; step-father, Albert Johnson; son-in-law, Michael Stalnaker; and her brother, Roger (Priscilla) Myren. Friends may visit from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, October 13th at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Rd. N., Pickerington, OH 43147, where a funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 14th with Pastor Jill Dunlap officiating. Interment will be private.
