August Charles Sims

August Charles Sims, age 74, of Canal Winchester, OH passed away January 26, 2023. He was born August 18, 1948 in Columbus, OH to the late Carl and Catherine Sims. Retired as a Sergeant from the Columbus Police Department and later worked as an Attorney. He loved his grandchildren and will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Carl Sims; and step father, John Phillips.

Survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Kathleen Sims; two children, Patricia (Joseph) Walker and Michael (Kara) Sims; five grandchildren, Sammi Walker, Melody Walker, Samantha Wyant, Sydney Sims and Brooklyn Sims; sister, Sandra L. McClish; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit 10-11:00am on Thursday, February 2, at the Hosanna Lutheran Church, 7714 Hazelton-Etna Rd. SW, Pataskala, OH 43062 with a memorial service to follow at 11:00am.
