Tribute

Barbara L. Annable, age 74, of Columbus, peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. Born November 10, 1945 in Logan, WV to the late John & Elizabeth (Evans) Preece. She was a graduate of Marshall University and Franklin University. Early in her career Barbara taught in a one room school house in South Dakota. She relocated to Columbus and returned to school to become an accountant. She spent the remainder of career at Reynolds Building Products as the Controller with over 25 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Groveport.
Preceded in death by her husband, Duane “Skip” Annable in 2008, and sister and brother-in-law, Pauline and Cliff Workman, she is survived by her children, Saundra (Jason Francis) Geng, Michael (Jessica) Annable, Gary (Donna) Annable, Tamela (Gregg) Taylor; grandchildren, Christopher (Lynsey) Geng, Morgan Geng, Emberlynn Annable, Luka Annable, Patrick Annable, Crystal (Howard) Powell, Christopher Annable, Jason Dement, and DeAnn (Rafael) Bailey; great-grandchildren, Adalynn, Jameson, Cammen, Baylee, Haylee, Wesley, Dalton, Kadence, Skyleigh, Arabella and Gabrielle; brothers, John W. (Myrtle) Preece, Jerry (Cynthia) Preece, Homer (Pam) Preece, Wallace (Delores) Preece, Robert (Lisa) Preece; sister, Mary (Gary) Edwards; numerous nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Brenda Toy.
Family and friends may visit 2-4 & 6-8 pm Thursday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester. Funeral service will be 11 am Friday at the First Baptist Church of Groveport, 5521 Groveport Rd., Groveport 43125 with the Rev. Dr. Gregory Cooper officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens. COVID-19 funeral restrictions will be observed and masks are encouraged.
Friends who wish may contribute to the church building fund, the American Cancer Society, or the charity of their choice in Barbara’s memory.
