Barbara R. Pletcher, age 75, of Columbus died Friday, January 5, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was born January 14, 1942 in Columbus to the late Norman and Edith Martin.
Barbara was a 1959 graduate of South High School. She then continued her education and graduated with a BSE from The Ohio State University in 1963 and her MBA from Capital in 1993. Barbara most recently worked as an administrative assistant for AEP, where she retired after 15 years. She was an avid quilter, a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, enjoyed watching the Big Bang Theory and reading, and loved daily trips to Starbucks. Barbara more than anything cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Terri Lyn.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Terry Pletcher; daughter, Wendy (Keith); son-in-law, Gary; grandchildren, Jessica (Devon), Alec (Liz), Maggie, Ayden; great-grandchildren, Trinidy, Channing, Zachary, Braxton; brothers, Marshall Martin, Raymond Martin, David Martin; many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit 1-3:00 pm on Saturday, January 13, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110 where a memorial service, officiated by Evangelist Mary Jenkins, will follow at 3:00 pm.
