Bernard Durkin Jr.

Born in McArthur, Ohio. Passed away February 8, 2020 at Mount Carmel East Hospital.
Barney was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, bowling, playing pool and basketball, watching sports and religious programs, fixing things and keeping a good home. He loved talking and making people smile and laugh. Barney was a member of Madison Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons, Adrian (Norma) and Timothy (Yvette); sister, Bonnie Salatin; grandchildren, Matthew (Kirsten), Brianna, Jacob, Antonio, Enrique, Jenny (Evan), Michael (Jenn), Marcus (Fallon); great-grandchildren, Aubrie, Aleah, Trenton, Dylan, Jonathan, Tryton, Gage, Zayden, Mikayla, Kirra and Charlie; many nieces and nephews; dear friends, Carl and Helen Jones, Cleve and Carol Valton. Barney is preceded in death by his parents Bernard Sr. and Louise (Zeigler) Durkin; brothers, Donald, Arthur, Michael; sister, Pegge Ormond; great-granddaughter, Alyssa Park.
Friends and family may call from 4-7 p.m. at DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, OH on Tuesday, February 11, 2020. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow with Military Honors at Carroll Cemetery.
