Betty Klein

Betty Lucille Klein, age 91, of Gahanna, Ohio, climbed to the top of the hill on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, where she waits for her beloved husband of 68 years, Ronald Klein. She was one of seven children of the late Daniel and Ina Haynes of Obetz, Ohio. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and all who met or knew her were taken with her warmth, compassion and kindness. She opened her home and heart to many and exemplified Christian love. She will be dearly missed. The valedictorian of the Hamilton Twp. High School class of 1945, Betty was a tireless worker for her family and friends, as well as such local companies as Montgomery Ward and Grange Insurance. In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by sons Dana (Joanne) and Brian (Cynthia) Klein, grandchildren Phillipp (Linlee), Mitchell (Rachel) and Stephanie Klein, great grandsons Elias and Emmett Klein, brothers Karl (Arlene) and James “Bugs” (Jeanette) Haynes, and sister Mary Ann (Keith) Harden, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Sisters Esther Crouch, Mona Mae Spangler and Verla “Hooch” Haynes are each deceased.

A celebration of life will be held from 4-6:00pm on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 650 West Waterloo Street, Canal Winchester, OH 43110 with a memorial service to follow at 6:00pm. Online condolences may be found at www.spencefuneralhome.com. Interment will occur at a vault of the mausoleum at Franklin Hills Memorial Gardens.
