Bonnie Lou Schneck Burnett died on December 28, 2018, at Brookdale Lakeview Crossing in Groveport, Ohio from complications of frontotemporal dementia. Bonnie was born on November 25, 1944 in Columbus, Ohio.Graduate of Columbus South High School, Class of 1962. Bonnie worked for many years at VSP, as Executive Secretary to the President, and retiring as a Human Resources Generalist. After retiring from VSP, Bonnie worked as a Health Aide in the Teays Valley School District and cared for her grandchildren. Bonnie is deeply missed by her husband, Gus Burnett of Groveport; her daughters, Amanda Tonjes and Nicole (Daniel) Bristle; her grandchildren, Olivia and Sophia Tonjes, Nickolas, Samuel and Jacob Bristle; her sister, Patricia (Michael) Levy; her brother Randal (Jennie) Schneck; her sisters in-law, Dianne Timura, Joanne Myers and Judy Kellett; many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends, especially her beloved Columbus South Class of 1962 Card Club. Bonnie is awaited in heaven by her mother, Mary Jo Gugliematto, her sister, Tina VanHoose, her in-laws, Zoltan and Helen Burnett and her brother in law William Kellett. Calling hours to take place between 4 and 7 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2018 at DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo Street, Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110. A funeral will take place at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2018. Gus and Bonnie’s girls are particularly grateful for the care Bonnie received during her final years in Brookdale Lakeview Crossing’s Clare Bridge memory care unit, particularly for Mary, Misty, Jodie, Tanisha and Cassie and the Hospice care she received there, overseen by Dr. John DiPietra, who had been Bonnie’s doctor for many years prior to her illness.
