Calvin N. Fancher, age 93, of Brice, OH died November 22, 2018 at his residence. He was born May 2, 1925, in Brice, OH to the late Henry and Laura (Younker) Fancher. Calvin was a graduate of Groveport High School. He served our country during WWII as a member of the United States Army and was the recipient of a Good Conduct Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Victory Medal, Purple Heart and 2 Bronze Stars. Calvin worked as a yardmaster with the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad, he was once Constable of the Village of Brice and Chief of Police for the Village of Brice. He was a member of Brice United Methodist Church and of the Reynoldsburg Lodge #340 F&A.M. Preceded in death by his first wife, Ida Fancher; second wife, Joyce Fancher; brother, Clarence Fancher; and step-daughter, Evelyn Duckworth. Calvin is survived by numerous friends. Friends may visit 5-7:00pm on Thursday, November 29, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, OH 43110. A graveside service, officiated by Pastor Phyllis Plear, will be held at 11:00am on Friday, November 30, at Glen Rest Memorial Estate, 8029 E Main St, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068.
