October 20, 2000 ~ June 30, 2021 (age 20) 20 Years Old
Cameron C. Cross, age 20, of Canal Winchester, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Born October 20, 2000 in Columbus. Cameron gave the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. He was a 2019 graduate of Canal Winchester High School, was currently serving in the Army Reserve, and was an EMT with ProCare. Cameron was passionate about wrestling starting from the time he was 8 years old. He wrestled varsity for all four years of high school and was a leader and integral part of his team. After high school he became a proud member of the United States Army Reserve, where he earned his EMT certification as a combat medic. Cameron loved helping other people and was a friend to all. A caring and compassionate young man, smart beyond his years, he was a loving brother, extremely close to his siblings and family, and will be greatly missed. Cameron is survived by his mother, Kelli (Jeff Sickels) Cross; father, Aaron (Julie) Cross, all of Canal Winchester; brother, Layne Cross; sisters, Paige Cross and Justice Chetwood; grandparents, Gary and Nancy Chetwood, Winter Haven, FL, Connie and Dave Murdock, Pataskala, Leonard and Jennie Cross, Colorado, Daniel and Barbara Sickels, Tom and Susan Whyde; aunts and uncles, Adam Chetwood, Lisa (Jody) Brooks, Kristin (Brice) Kasee, David (Lindsey) Murdock, and Sara (Greg) Schwanzl. Friends may visit 3-6 pm Friday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, where funeral service will follow at 6 pm.
