Capitola W Meacham

Capitola Willodean Meacham, age 98, of Canal Winchester, died October 13, 2018 at Mount Carmel East Hospital. She was born March 6, 1920 in Huntington, Indiana to the late Frank and Eva (Fulton) Linn.

Capitola was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Indians. She loved cooking and baking and was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Meacham; brothers, Donald, Bonner and Frank Jr.; sisters, Wanda, Ruth and Gwendolyn; and her son-in-law, Bob McDorman; Capitola is survived by her daughters, Alice McDorman and Judith Bowman; grandsons, Curtis (Melinda) Bowman, Jeffery Marion and David McDorman; granddaughters, Shelley (Dave) Landenburg, Sherri (Jim) Borton and Janice Hurt; great-grandsons, Nick Landenburg and Alexander Borton; great-granddaughters, Kris Landenburg, Arielle Bowman, Cheyenne Bowman and Arianna Borton; great-great-grandson, Nathan Jones; many nieces, nephews, dear friends and neighbors.

Friends may visit 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo Street, Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110 and 9:00-10:00 a.m. Thursday at the David Lutheran Church, 300 Groveport Road, Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110, where a funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Leslie Fox officiating. Interment to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Newark, Ohio.
