Carole J. Leyland

Carole J. Leyland, age 79, of Pickerington, Ohio, died Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus. Born December 7, 1938 in Martins Ferry to the late Michael & Sue (Mancuso) Zambo. She was a 1956 graduate of Yorkville High School. She received her BSN from Ohio University, and was a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, and was an alumna of Ohio Valley School of Nursing.
She was retired from Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging, and was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish and Public Employee Retirees.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Richard Leyland; daughter, Dana (Mike) Roby, Plain City; son, Rich (Gold) Leyland, Pickerington; grandchildren, Chris (Ashley) Roby, Eric Roby, Richie Leyland, Alex Leyland, and Jada Leyland; sister-in-law, Shirley (Bob) Kimble.
Friends may visit 10 am to 12 noon on Monday at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 550 Hill Road N. (St. Rt. #256), Pickerington, where funeral service will follow at 12 noon with Fr. James Klima officiating. Entombment will follow at 3 pm at Holly Memorial Gardens near Colerain.
