Charles Allen Malone Sr

Charles A. Malone Sr., age 86, of Groveport, OH passed away October 4, 2021 surrounded by his children. He was born August 23, 1935 in Jamestown, TN to the late John and Alice Malone. Charles worked for the airline companies for 36 years. Starting his career at Lake Central Airline as a baggage holder, he grew to a District Sales Manager with Allegheny Airlines to US Airways. Charles loved to travel around the world, he worked closely with travel agents and made many memories with them. Charles was a loyal man of faith, he was a Deacon at Walnut Heights Baptist Church and was a Legacy with The Gideons International after 35 years. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and enjoyed volunteering at Groveport Food Pantry. Charles was a loving dad and grandpa and cherished time spent with his family.

Charles is preceded in death by his lovely wife, Shirley Ann and 10 brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his children, Chuck (Lisa) Malone, Jeffrey Malone, and Melissa (Doyle) Lindsey; his precious grandchildren, Nicole and Nicholas Lindsey; sister-in-law-, Dorothy Frye; along with many nieces, nephews and other beloved friends and family.

Family and friends may visit Friday, October 8, from 11-1pm at the DWAYNE R SPENCE FUNERAL HOME 650 W Waterloo St. Canal Winchester, OH 43110. A funeral service will follow at 1pm officiated by Pastor Dave Van Buskirk. Interment to Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
