Charles R. “Charlie” Taylor, age 90, of Canal Winchester, died Sunday, January 22, 2023 at his residence. Born July 26, 1932 in Canal Winchester to the late Cecil Chester and Esther A. (Teegarden) Taylor. He was a 1950 graduate of Groveport High School, served in the U.S. Army, and was a retired farmer. He had been a 4H and FFA advisor, a truck mechanic and driver, and retired from Pine Hill Golf Course. He was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Pickerington.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia Taylor; children, Brenda (David) Burgoon, Douglas (Debora) Taylor, Todd Taylor, Joseph (Melissa) Taylor; son-in-law, Brian Keith; grandchildren, Michael (Krista) Burgoon, Rebecca (Ben) Thorp, Erin Taylor, Jason (Krystin) Taylor, Alexandra Hart, Abigail Taylor, Cortney Taylor, Justin Taylor, Logan (Maygan) Taylor, Adam (Victoria) Taylor; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Jennie (Ralph) Rawn; sister-in-law, Judy Taylor; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Keith; grandson, Joshua Taylor; sister, Audrey Kitchen; and brother, Ronald Taylor.
Friends may visit 10 am to 12 noon Saturday, January 28 at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 268 Hill Rd N. (St. Rt. #256), Pickerington, where funeral service will follow at 12 noon with Pastor Brad Gee officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens in Canal Winchester.
