Christopher Eric Bricker, age 48, of Canal Winchester, Ohio, left this world on a journey to heaven. He is survived by his loving parents, Gary and Irene of Fairborn, Ohio; loving sister, Linda (Doug) Hanek of Trafalgar, Indiana. Chris was a generous uncle to his nephew, Jakob Hanek, whom he was very proud of. Also surviving are uncles, Steven (Jason) Bricker of Worthington, Kentucky, Karl- Heinz Steffes, Albert Steffes and Gerd Steffes with their extended and loving families of Germany. Chris was born in Torrejon, Spain on August 16, 1970 while his father was on assignment with the Air Force. He spent time living in Germany and spoke German fluently. He graduated from Franklin University in Columbus and worked in Finance and Banking. Chris was well read and took a special interest in history. He maintained special friendships throughout his lifetime. Brian, Lon, Rob and others were very important to Chris. He enjoyed gaming with his friends. He also enjoyed the great outdoors and all nature; he loved his travels in Scotland and hiking in the Alps with family members. Chris was a man of honor and integrity who was generous, kind, and compassionate. He will be forever missed by family and friends here and abroad. According to Chris’s wishes, family and friends may visit 5-5:30pm on Monday, July 15, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St. Canal Winchester, OH 43110 with a memorial service to follow at 5:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the World Wildlife Fund at https://www.worldwildlife.org/.
