Christopher Allen Huskey, age 59, of Reynoldsburg, passed peacefully surrounded by family February 10, 2019, at Kobacker House after a long hard fight with kidney cancer. He was born January 27, 1960, in Columbus, Ohio.
Preceded in death by his father, Robert Huskey, and his brother, Bob Huskey; Chris is survived by his loving wife of nearly 34 years, Nancy; children, Danny (Danielle) Huskey, Nick Huskey, and Ryan Huskey; mother, Barbara Huskey; siblings, David (Kristi) Huskey, Suzie Huskey, Mindy (Mike) Murphy, John (Susan) Huskey and their families; Uncle Clarence (Pat) Huskey and their family; numerous in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Chris graduated in 1978 from Pickerington High School and as a sports enthusiast, his life revolved around basketball throughout schooling on his way to becoming an Ohio University- Lancaster Alumni. Other sports, such as golf, softball, and bowling were personal favorites over the years. He also relished in his time spent with family. Nancy’s time was spent with him in a golf league. His sons, Danny & Nick, learned from his coachings while traveling for multiple summer basketball teams. Ryan, his youngest son, took up an interest in guns and shooting at the range and Chris attended safety & CCW lessons with him to join in on the target practice. The whole Huskey family gathered together for all sorts of sporting events, loaded station wagon and all. Even with committing so much of his time for others and to the United States Postal Service, you still found him at the local school’s track running his sprint work, a testament to Chris’ work ethic and heart.
