Tribute

Dale Kermit Williams, age 88, of Mansfield, OH passed away November 22, 2022. He was born July 8, 1934 in Truman, MN to the late Tyler Sr. and Hazel Williams. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1952-1972 retiring as Master Sergeant. Dale also retired from the hearing aid industry working as an audiologist. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mansfield, OH. Dale was on the Archery Club while stationed in England. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing and playing bocce ball with the grandchildren. Dale had amazing BBQ grilling skills, especially his ribs. He had a wonderful sense of humor, always telling jokes and stories. Dale had the ability to include everyone and make them feel special. Some of his words of wisdom include “Life is hard by the yard, by the inch it’s a cinch” and “don’t sweat the small stuff”.

Preceded in death by his siblings, Tyler Jr., Betty King, Maxine Malmanger, Joann Krenz and Elaine Thayer; in-laws, Luther and Margaret Rarey; and grandson, Michael Morris. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Geneva Williams; children, Renee and Eric Deschner, Jeff and Debby Williams; grandchildren, Tim Williams, Crystal and Tony Shaffer, Charles French and Araqa Miller, Myles and Amanda Deschner, Amber and Jonathan Rippy and Brandi Fisher; great grandchildren, Emma Shaffer, Ella Shaffer, Zoey Shaffer, Alex Williams, Aiden Williams, Aldrich French, Jazlyn Lance, Kody Lance and Zack Wilson; siblings, twin brother Dean and Sandy Williams, Marvin Williams; many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit 12-1:00pm on Monday, November 28, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St. Canal Winchester, OH 43110 with a funeral service officiated by Pastor Lorry Mabiala to follow at 1:00pm. Interment at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens. The family would like to thank OhioHealth Riverside Hospital neurology unit, OhioHealth Mansfield Inpatient Rehab Unit and Southern Care Hospice for providing excellent care.
