David Hamler Carr

David Hamler Carr, age 70, of Groveport, passed away March 17, 2023. Born May 4, 1952 in Columbus, OH to the late Walter Jr and Geneva Carr. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Patricia Carr; daughters, Tera (Jeffery) Martin, Kelly (Stephen) Jones; grandchildren, Mya Carr-Haley, Jesse Martin, Geneva Carr-Martin; sister, Cathy (David) Hundley; brother, Eric (Kimberly) Carr; niece, Meredith Hundley; nephew, Wyatt (Beth) Hundley; sister-in-law, Linda Stokes; pet, Black Lab “Ziva”.
He is preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Joe and Florence Meyer; grandmother, Eliza Hamler; pet, Chocolate Lab “Cocoa”.
Dave is a 1970 graduate of Groveport High School and Eastland Career Center. He worked most his life with Franklin county Engineers where he retired after 25 years of service as an auto body repair technician. He was a member of NRA and Lancaster Gun Club. The family would like to specially thank Echo Hospice Staff for their care.
Friends and family may visit DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME 650 W. Waterloo St, Canal Winchester, OH 43110 Friday, March 24, 2023 from 4-8pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the funeral home at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
