David Edwin Francis

David E. Francis, age 74, of Canal Winchester, passed away peacefully Monday, September 5, 2022, surrounded by family.

David was born to the late Cyrus and Grace (Swatman) Francis in Columbus, OH. He graduated from Linden McKinley High School in 1967; after high school, he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. David was active in his local American Legion Post 677 and VFW 10523. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a member of the Central Ohio H.O.G. Chapter of Carroll, OH. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Francis, and sister, Mary Jane Patterson.  

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Winnie Francis; daughters, Angie (Chad) Thurn, and Kimberly (Jeffrey) Garrett; grandchildren, Celia, Nolan, Reese, and Brooks; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.  

A visitation will be held Saturday, September 10, from 2-4PM with a memorial service to follow at 4PM at DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, CANAL WINCHESTER.
