David Francis Marion

David Francis Marion, age 72, of Canal Winchester passed away May 13, 2018. Preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Russ Marion; David is survived by his wife, Jackie; sisters, Cheryl Selzer, Pat Marion; sons, Chris (Kelly), Andrew (Athena); granddaughters, Ariel, Keirsten, Katlyn; lifelong friends, Jim Shaw, Debi Smith; many church friends.

David graduated from Canal Winchester High School and Franklin University and served in Germany in the U.S. Army. David worked for many years at Winchester Farms, was Past President of the CW Lions Club and retired from Buckeye Honda after 26 years of service. His passion for Hondas led him into becoming one of the top salesmen in the U.S. In retirement he worked for CW Human Services as a Senior Transportation driver. After his family, David’s great love and dedication was to Hope United Methodist Church where he served faithfully and sang in his beloved choir, back row and second from the right. David also loved American antiques, good wine, good coffee and smoked cheap cigars. David’s deep faith in God gives us comfort that he is now at peace.

Friends may visit 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo Street, Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110 and 10-11 a.m. Thursday at Hope United Methodist Church, 83 E. Columbus Street, Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110 where a funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ben Foulk officiating. Interment to follow at Union Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope UMC Choir fund in David’s memory.
