Deborah "Debbie" Ballou

Deborah “Debbie” Ballou, age 64, of Canal Winchester, formerly of Columbus, died Monday, October 4, 2021 at Grant Medical Center. Born September 19, 1957 in Fullerton, CA to the late Harry & Ruth (Miller) Hopkins. She was a graduate of Columbus West High School and was employed at Meijer for many years. She enjoyed baking and crafting with her grandchildren, and spending time with her family. She would do anything for anyone, and treated her friends like family.    
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Phil Ballou; children, Thomas (Stephanie) McDaniels, Dublin, Amanda (Russell) Shrider, Canal Winchester, Lynn (Cory Chapman) McDaniels, Grove City, Anthony Ballou, Reynoldsburg, Danielle Ballou, Reynoldsburg; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Autumn, Thomas, William, Brayton, Austin, Russell, Kelsey, Ariana, Giuliana, Brieanna, Chaelynn, Chase, Addison, and Zoe; sister, Linda Kelly; brothers, Jeff Hopkins, Christopher (Jennifer) Hopkins; father-in-law, James (Mary Jo) Ballou; brother-in-law, Richard Kreemer; sister-in-law, Terri Stump; nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Brandon Ballou; grandson, Caleb Ballou; sister, Doris Leighton-Kreemer; and mother-in-law, Carole Haines.
Friends may visit 5-8 pm Monday, October 11 at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester. Service on Tuesday will be private but friends are invited to view via the livestream link which will be posted below.
