Dennis E Montgomery

Dennis Montgomery, a loving father and grandfather passed away on Friday, April 19th 2024. He was
born in Marion, Ohio on June 16, 1944 to parents Bud and Dollie Montgomery. In LaRue, Ohio he met
his future wife Barbara Holland on November 3rd, 1962 and they have been together since. They
married on December 26th 1967.

He graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in Marketing, and later with an
MBA from Ohio University. He had a long and extensive career in Retail Sales working with Children’s
Palace, Staples, and Michael’s store chains. Dennis and Barb moved several times in Ohio as well as to
Massachusetts before settling in Pickerington, Ohio in 1977 to raise their family. In 2000, they moved to
their current residence in Canal Winchester, Ohio.

His true passion in life centered around spending time with his family and he was a devoted husband,
father, and grandfather. He valued time with his family above all other priorities in life. He loved to
travel with Barb and his extended family throughout the United States. He also enjoyed watching Ohio
State sports and was an avid reader and student of history. Dennis completed research and was proud
to show that he and his family were direct descendants of John Alden, an original passenger on the
Mayflower.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barb Montgomery, as well as his younger brother Rob
Montgomery. He leaves behind his son Doug Montgomery, his wife Tracy, and their children Max and
Ella Montgomery. He also leaves behind his son Andy Montgomery, his wife Laura, and their children
Charlie and Sam Montgomery.

He will be laid to rest in a private ceremony in LaRue Cemetery with his family this Friday, April 26th with Barb Parrot officiating. Online condolences can be found at spencefuneralhome.com.
