Denver R. Anders, 92, of Lancaster, died on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Born on December 8, 1925 to the late Verne Anders and Cora Finefrock-Anders, Denver proudly served in the United States Navy. It was there that he learned the skills he would apply to his career as a steelworker for the Steelworkers Local 7993S. Denver loved to travel and owned and flew his own airplanes. Denver was a great man and will be remembered fondly by those who knew him. He is survived by his sister, Genevieve Anders-Skovran; and numerous nieces, nephews, and good friends. Denver was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Lasley-Anders; siblings, Shelby Anders, Flossie Anders-Everett, Mark G. Anders, and Bea Anders-Bennett. Friends may visit from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 29th at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, OH 43110, where a funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Lancaster.
