Dolores Kathryn McAllister

Dolores Kathryn McAllister, 95, formerly of Virginia, died on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Wesley Ridge Retirement Community in Reynoldsburg, OH. Born on April 3, 1923 to the late Howard and Evelyn Luce, Dolores was a graduate of Lakewood High School in Lakewood, OH. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed playing with her Mount Vernon Country Club friends. Dolores enjoyed volunteering in the community for Meals on Wheels and Fairfax County Mental Health. She also enjoyed being a tour guide for friends and family that came to visit Washington D.C. Dolores will be remembered as a caring, outgoing, and generous woman who always put her family first. She is survived by her children, David (Barbara) McAllister and Christine Barnes; grandchildren, Melissa (Shawn) Fultz, Erica Barnes, Steven (Erika) McAllister, and Michael McAllister; and her great- grandchildren, Ryan Richardson, Lauren Fultz, Makenna McAllister, Hannah Fultz, and Langdon McAllister. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Richard McAllister; and her brother, Robert Luce. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the DWAYNE R.
