Donald Warner Carley

Donald “Don” Carley, age 80, passed into the presence of Jesus on June 3, 2021 in his home, surrounded by his family. Don was born December 11, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Donald and Evelyn (Rose) Carley. He served proudly with the United States Army for 8 years. After the military, Don started working for Nationwide Insurance where he was a member of the President’s Club and won many awards for being one of the top insurance agents. Don later retired from Nationwide after 40 years of service to his customers.

Don was a proud and loving family man; he loved to take his wife and daughters on adventures on the road and especially on the water that they’ll never forget. He was an avid and passionate boater, a member of a yacht club, and even received his USCG Captain’s license. He and his wife Pat, his first mate, traveled up the east coast on their own journeys together. Don and Pat spent a lot of time on the water and on the road together, loving every minute of it. On their many adventures they visited every state in America. Along with boating, Don loved to play golf, and enjoyed water/snow skiing.

Don is survived by his loving wife Pat of 61 years; daughters, Robin (Chris) Dalrymple, Cindy (Doug) Morrison, Michelle (Andy) Cherryhomes; grandchildren, Rebecca Dalrymple, Allison (John) Cook, Joshua (Haley) Morrison, Stephen (Ketlin) Morrison, Carley (Austin) Hash, Jacob Breakey, Anna, Grace, and Sarah Cherryhomes; great-grandchildren, Lexi, Lucy, and Levi; brother, Bryon (Debbie) Carley and his nieces, nephew and numerous friends.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Life City Church 6389 Blacklick-Eastern Rd NW, Pickerington, OH 43147 from 4-7p.m. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 12pm. Internment to Forest Lawn Memory Gardens
