Donald A. Danielson, Jr., age 73, of Canal Winchester, died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 15, 2022. He was born April 21, 1948 in Zanesville to the late Donald and Eileen (Goodin) Danielson. He was a graduate of New Lexington High School, and received his bachelors degree from Ohio University and his masters from The Ohio State University. He was a retired middle school teacher and was currently a Park Ranger for Columbus Metro Parks/Pickerington Ponds. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and photographer.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cathy Danielson; sister, Donna (Steve) Nash; brothers, Bill (Carol) Danielson and Tim (Kathleen) Danielson; mother-in-law, Pauline Schultz; sister-in-law, Jill (Mark) Williams; nieces and nephews, Sarah (Matt) Simcox, Zachary (Caitlin) Williams, Casey Mason, Cathy Ann (Adam) Bowman; great-nieces and nephews, Carter Mason, Holden Bowman, Colin Simcox, Chloe Simcox, Ellie Williams, and Owen Williams; other nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Services for Don will be private with interment at Poplar Fork Cemetery in Gratiot. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to the Heinzerling Foundation (https://heinzerling.org/get-involved/donate/) in his memory.
