Donald Eugene Gipe

Donald Eugene Gipe, 82, of Columbus passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023. Don was born and raised in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He attended The Ohio State University, where he was a member of ROTC, and earned a degree in Accounting. Don married Judith Ann (Judy) Gretsinger December 29, 1961. He served in the Air Force following graduation. He had many fond memories of his time spent stationed in Iceland. Following his time in the Air Force, Don and Judy settled in Columbus, raising their three children: Gregory, Stephanie, and Kevin. Don had a successful career as a CPA, working many years with Price Waterhouse, Borden and the State of Ohio. Don enjoyed golf and was a long time member of the Groveport Country Club. Don was preceded in death by his parents Barney and Beatrice, his brother Richard (Dick) Gipe, beloved wife Judy, and grandson Jeffrey. He is survived by his son Greg, daughter Stephanie, and her husband Doug Kaufman, and grandson Jerry Harper; son Kevin and his wife Sharon Arnett, and grandchildren, Aidan Gipe, Noah Gipe, Emma Gipe, Grace Gipe, and Max Arnett. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the American Cancer Society in his name.
