Donald Lee Groves

Donald Lee Groves passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on November 13, 2021. Preceded in death by loving wife, Peggy; parents, Eva and Kenneth; sister, Sharon; brother, Dale; mother-in-law, Helen and great grandson, Landon Nicholas. Survived by children, Gregory (Elizabeth), Mary Lou (Jay) and Christy (Brad); grandchildren, Jamie (Matt), Megan (Jim), Jason, Christopher (Liz), Ryan (Ashlea); and great grandchildren, Andrew, Abby, James, Ainslee, Charlotte, Elliot, Arcadia and Xander; brother, Dwight; many nieces and nephews; and beloved friends, Roger and Dee Marshall.

Don worked in the printing business as a salesman. In retirement, he became involved in his community serving as president of the condo association. He enjoyed golfing, watching and talking baseball and traveling to the Outer Banks with Peggy. Papa Don never missed any of his grand children’s activities. Mostly he enjoyed spending time with friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Crohn’s Foundation are appreciated
