Dustin B. Reiner, age 59 of Columbus, passed away in his home on Thursday, July 8th, 2021 in his sleep. Dustin was born on November 30th, 1961 to Paul and the late Geneva Reiner.
Dustin is survived by his father, Paul Reiner, and Jeri Lane Reiner of Pickerington.
Dustin was the founder of DR Marketing and Business Development. He held several jobs throughout his life; Meta Technical Sales, NPG Solutions, Verizon Wireless, Quest Communications, and several restaurants, including The Cooker Bar and Grill, where he met many life-long friends. Dustin made this world a better place because he cared about people and animals. He was known for his quick wit and his upbeat personality.
For many years, Dustin organized white water rafting trips to West Virginia for all of his friends. He was an avid cyclist as well as a devout Buckeyes and Steelers fan. Dustin loved tailgating with his friends in the “32 gang”, and more recently had developed a close relationship with the staff and regulars at the NextDoor Tavern.
Dustin was everyone’s friend. Dustin was “the guy next door.” Dustin had an art of forming lasting and meaningful relationships with everyone he met, people of all races, ethnicities, and professions. He had a caring heart.
Dustin graduated from Gahanna Lincoln HS in 1980. He was a graduate of Franklin University College. In 2008, he was awarded the Circle of Excellence National President's award.
