Edith Wildermuth

Edith Emma Wildermuth, age 79, of Canal Winchester, OH passed away February 15, 2017. She was born January 16, 1938 to the late John and Clara Leidy in Canal Winchester, OH. Edith was a graduate of Groveport Madison High School and attended Capital University. She was a faithful and active member of Brice United Methodist Church. Edith was a proud farm wife who lived and worked on her family owned bicentennial Century Farm. She enjoyed working for 52 years beside her husband, Rodney, milking the cows twice a day. Edith was a 4-H Leader and Franklin County Farm Bureau Woman of the Year. She was a caring mother and dedicated her life to her daughter with special needs.

Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Rodney Wildermuth; three children, Annetta (Bob) Zeman, Jerry (Gina) Wildermuth and Susan Wildermuth; three grandchildren, Scott Wildermuth, Jodi (Morgan) Pavol and Christy Wildermuth; sister, Barbara (Bob) Cullison; and uncle, Eugene Wilson.

Family and friends may visit 2-5:00pm on Sunday, February 19, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St. Canal Winchester, OH 43110. A funeral service officiated by Rev. Althea Botts will begin at 10:00am on Monday, February 20, at Brice United Methodist Church, 3160 Brice Rd, Brice, OH 43109. Interment at Union Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Brice United Methodist Church or the Ohio Special Olympics, 3303 Winchester Pike, Columbus, OH 43232.
