Edward Bland

Edward A. Bland, age 61, of Pickerington, died Thursday, June 15, 2017 at his residence. He was born June 1, 1956 in Columbus to the late Charles and Flora Bland Sr.
Ed was a 1975 graduate of Groveport Madison High School. He then continued his education at the Ohio State University and Franklin University. Ed was always looking to further his education; he was driven to be the best. With a passion for woodworking, he crafted a home that his family will cherish forever. He liked to play the guitar and instilled music in his children’s lives. Whether playing or watching, Ed enjoyed all kinds of sports; he was an avid OSU Buckeyes and Broncos fan. Ed’s passion was people; he would always lend a helping hand, cherished time with his family and was adored by all.
Preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Carlton and Marta Reed Sr.; brother-in-law, Christopher Reed; step-brother, Doug Bland.
Edward is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Victoria Bland; children, Zachary Bland, Karri Bland, Sarah (Kenny Lockhart II) Bland; grandchild, Liam Lockhart; siblings, Charles (Syd) Bland Jr., Michael (Marcy) Bland, Thomas (Linda) Bland; brothers-in-law, Carey Reed, Carlton (Laurie) Reed Jr., Michael Reed; step-brother, Brad (Christy) Bland; step-sister, Pennie (Ryan) Campbell; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit 6-7:30 pm on Wednesday, June 21 at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 550 Hill Rd. N. Pickerington, OH 43147, where a Celebration of Life will follow at 7:30 pm.
