Edward W. Morgan, Jr.

Edward W. Morgan, Jr., age 92, of Columbus, died Tuesday, August 21, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Born on Christmas Day, 1925 in Youngstown to the late Edward W. & Helen Marie (West) Morgan.
He served in the U.S. Army,100th Infantry, during WWII and was a member of the Sons of Bitche (France). He was the recipient of several awards and medals for his achievements abroad. He retired from DSCC and Central Hardware.
He and Donna enjoyed spending winters in Garden City, SC and he loved walking the beach. Woodworking was a passion and the results of his detailed and beautiful work can be found in the homes of family and friends. From grandfather clocks to shelving and spinning wheels, he loved a good challenge.
Ed is survived by his wife of 73 years, Donna J. Morgan; daughter, Linda Morgan, Reynoldsburg; son, Edward “Butch” (Nancy) Morgan, Canal Winchester; grandson, Steven (Brittny) Morgan, Carroll; great-grandsons, Blake and Garrett; brother, Robert Morgan, Youngstown; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to a charity of their choice in Ed’s memory.
