Eileen T. Meuser

January 7, 1929 ~ September 8, 2018 (age 89) 89 Years Old

Tribute

Eileen (Breslin) Meuser passed away peacefully on September 8, 2018, the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Mother. Eileen was born on January 7, 1929 in Valley Falls, Rhode Island, the smallest of 16 children, giving her the nickname of “Teen”, and leading to one of her favorite sayings “good things come in small packages”.
She was recently able to visit with her remaining siblings, Peter Breslin, Cathy Dougherty (Frank), and Flossie Vance (Jim). She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Shirley Meuser. She met her Navy husband Paul Meuser (deceased) in Newport, Rhode Island and moved to Canal Winchester where they raised three children Mary Sokolowski (Bernard), Carl (Tina, deceased) Meuser, and Jon (Lisa) Meuser. Eileen was a grandmother of nine, great grandmother of 12, and recently became a great-great grandmother.
She spent her later years with longtime companion John Gentile and enjoyed happy times with the gang at Tim Hortons. Known for her love of all things Irish, she had a quick wit and a kind heart. Our special thanks to her caregivers Diane, Denise, and Colleen.
Family and friends may visit 4-7:00 pm on Thursday, September 13, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, OH 43110. A funeral mass, officiated by Fr. John Reade, will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, September 14, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 5684 Groveport Rd, Groveport, OH 43125.
In lieu of flowers, Eileen believed passionately in education for women. Please consider a donation to the Patricia D Wright Foundation and Scholarship Fund on Facebook or PNC Bank, https://www.facebook.com/PatriciaDWrightFoundation/
