David Petty

The man, the myth, the legend; Francis David Petty, 75, of Canal Winchester, OH, went to his eternal home on November 25th, 2022. David lived a life of service to his community as a trustee, clerk and volunteer fireman for Bloom Township, served on the Fairfield County Board of Health, and volunteered for countless other nonprofit organizations. David was a devoted family man and could most often be found at his children and grandchildren’s sporting events, concerts, pageants and plays.

David is survived by his loving wife, Hetti Petty, children, Becki Brinker, Bobbi Boyer, Matthew Petty, Marcus Petty, and Nathan Petty, 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sister, Susan Simpson, brother, Michael Petty, and numerous nieces and nephews.

David’s family would like to recognize the amazing care and comfort given to David and his family during his last days by Hospice of Central Ohio. If you wish, a donation can be made to them in David’s name.

A visitation will be held Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the DWAYNE R SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, Canal Winchester. A funeral service will be held the following day at the funeral home at 11AM. Interment to Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Rockmill Rd.
